OCTOBER IS PHYSICAL THERAPY AND BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Our own Mary Rosenberg was part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign for Brighton Collectibles this past October.   If you visited one of the many Brighton stores or displays around the country, you may have seen Mary’s photograph and her story as a breast cancer survivor.  In addition to this great honor, Mary was given a check for $5,000.00 to gift her favorite breast cancer related charity.  Mary gifted this award to the National Lymphedema Network.

ATTENTION BREAST CANCER PATIENTS

Mary continues to teach the lymphedema management segment for the Foothills Wellness Community Breast Cancer Return to Wellness program at Methodist Hospital in Arcadia. To join this great program, please visit the Foothills Wellness Center's website: www.twcfoothills.org

LASER PROBE

Ask about our laser probe. This treatment modality was recently approved for use in this country by the FDA although it has been used in Europe for 30 years. Research is abundant with proof of effectiveness in healing bone and soft tissues. We have used it successfully for post operative healing, tendinitis, wounds, nerve conditions and muscle pains.

ATTENTION MEDICARE PATIENTS

The Medicare part B cap is back in effect. This means that you can receive up to $1,780 of approved Medicare PT combined with speech pathology benefits per year. Some diagnoses come with exceptions allowing for more treatment sessions. Your physical therapist will be able to tell you if you qualify for or need additional treatments beyond the cap allowance.
